For almost the first two decades, the Festival was indebted to the Collegiate Montessori School, Sheffield, for its unreserved and generous sponsorship. The school and its associates gave loyal and encouraging support to the young singers of those early days, and the Competition expresses its thanks for the happy association it enjoyed with the Collegiate Montesssori Nursery School.
In 1998 the City of Sheffield Teachers' Choir undertook the sponsorship and the further promoting of the Festival. The Choir is delighted to, and continues to, invite representatives of the competition to sing in its concerts to provide singers with performance opportunities without being in competition.
Over the years the festival has grown and with it have its expenses. In order to mount further competitions the City of Sheffield Teachers' Choir is seeking major sponsorship, and we invite other interested parties to help in whatever small way they can no matter how small it is. This might be by becoming one of the "David Clover Festival Friends", or it might be by sponsoring the prize money, details of which may be obtained from
